Follow these easy steps to get your AEG FAVORIT 40660 Dishwasher up and running in no time.

1. Check for Damage

Before using the dishwasher for the first time, check for any damage caused during transport. Do not connect a damaged appliance. Contact your supplier if there is any damage.

2. Electrical Connection

Ensure all electrical work required for the installation is carried out by a qualified electrician. The appliance must be earthed.

3. Water Connection

Connect the dishwasher to the water supply, which can be either cold or hot water up to a maximum of 60°C.

4. Permanent Connection Installation

A permanent connection should only be installed by a trained electrician.

5. Initial Setup

Open the door and remove the lower basket. Unscrew the lid on the salt dispenser by turning it anti-clockwise. Only for first-time use, fill the salt dispenser with water, place the funnel (supplied) over the dispenser opening, and fill with dishwasher salt.

6. Adjust Water Softener

Set the water softener manually and electronically to avoid scale deposits on dishes and in the dishwasher. Use soft water for washing.

7. Rinse Aid Dispenser

Activate or deactivate the rinse aid dispensing function using function button 2. The setting is saved when the ON/OFF button is pressed.

8. Check Spray Arms

Ensure that the spray arms can turn freely before starting a dishwashing cycle.

9. Remove Worktop (if needed)

To use as a free-standing appliance, push the worktop backwards about 1 cm, lift at the front, and remove it.

10. Connect Drain Hose

Connect the drain hose with a maximum permitted height of 1 meter and a minimum required height of 40 cm above the appliance's bottom edge.
